Blickfang Zurich is 10 years old – Happy Birthday!
More international than ever and with a host of events to mark the celebrations.
The innovative public fair has become a permanent fixture in Zurich: the month of November truly belongs to the design fair Blickfang and its accompanying events.
Special celebrations of the Blickfang success story will take place from 24-26 November. Around 220 furniture, fashion and jewellery designers – more than 50 percent of whom are new exhibitors – will be present. On this occasion, diverse highlights turn the largest design fair in Switzerland into a sparkling event. You are invited to look, to try on, to try out and, of course, to buy direct.
Blickfang transforms the Kongresshaus Zurich into a unique design department store. Be inspired!

Blickfang lounges
There are two lounges offering visitors a relaxing break from Blickfang shopping fever: the MINI bar on the ground floor as well as the Coca-Cola light Lounge on the first floor. This lounge was created in cooperation with nanoo and the designer Jörg Boner – a stylish place to chill out.

Once again Blickfang presents an exciting mixture of creations by newcomers and well- known fashion designers. This is definitely one of the Blickfang highlights – not only for fashionistas! The five shows will be staged in true Blickfang style by the renowned choreographer Sibylla Lustenberger.

Mankind should be familiar with beautiful things from childhood on – that is why a special exhibition area focuses especially on design for the very young. Approximately ten labels show innovative, beautifully designed and sometimes humorous products for kids. These range from bibs to kids’ furniture or from jewellery to satchels – lots of things worth discovering.

It just wouldn’t be Blickfang without an award. The Blickfang Design Award, in gold, silver and bronze, will be presented with the friendly support of the architecture and design magazine Hochparterre and NOKIA. This year will see the award of a special prize for innovation which is supported by Buell.
Commendations for the best design achievements or the most successful realization of innovative ideas and concepts will be awarded on Friday (24.11.06) at 7.30 pm in the Coca-Cola light Lounge on the first floor.
On the 10th anniversary Blickfang shows the laureates of the past ten years!
Of course, Blickfang is popular in the first instance because, as a temporary design store, it is a source of really great Christmas gifts. But it is more than just this: the diverse range of innovative and unique products makes it possible to experience design first-hand.
This year’s special show with the design award winners of the past years presents many a creation which has already become a classic. In this retrospective the spirit of the fair is brought to the fore.
Prague corner
Berlin, Vienna, Helsinki and Tokyo were our city corner guests in the past.
Now it is time to take a closer look at Eastern Europe! It doesn’t take long to find an exciting city: Prague. This metropolis is well known for its historically impressive quarters, architecture and art collections. But what about fashion and furniture design? The answers to this question will be found in this year’s city corner Prague.
Supported by Swiss International Air Lines, the Czech Embassy and the Czech Centre in Prague, around eight labels from this beautiful city on the Vltava will present themselves.
Blickfang spots
In the three weeks of November prior to the opening of Blickfang, exciting events take place at different venues in Zurich free of charge. Private views, guided tours and lectures shed light on the different areas of design in an unconventional way.
