International design exhibition for interior, fashion and jewellery

 
Antoinette Bader (CH), graduated in 2008 as Industrial designer at the Zurich University of the Arts. She lives between Vienna and Zurich and has recently moved into her studio at the Kalvarienberggasse in Vienna. Standard numero 4 is a concept based on two standard elements and a half finger joint assembly mode. This system allows to create straight and curved partitions, circular spaces and arches. The project can be used as library, shelter or wall. Due to its limited volume and the easy assembly mode, it can also be used for exhibition spaces and pavilion with an additional membrane. The setup is done without tools or connectors. The material is 15mm pine plywood.

Reclaimed wood. Many years ago beams were hand chopped. The sun, wind and weather have left unique surfaces on boards. Steps of many people are preserved in old floors. This patina tells stories and inspires the viewer. Today reclaimed wood is used in modern interior arrangements and exclusive furniture construction.
