blickfang Basel - the countdown has started

 

The countdown has started! In only one week from now, the biggest design event of its kind will open its doors. Get together with the young design scene to discover new trends and fresh talents. Whats best about blickfang: You can buy your most favorite item directly at the spot. blickfang  presents unique fashion, furniture and jewelry along with an exciting supporting programm such as the blickfang design award and the special show blickfangselected.

 

 

What a great happening!

 

Its hard to believe but blickfang Basel 2012 closed its doors already weeks ago! For your memory we have produced this video with some impressions of the past event. We would like to thank all partners, exhibitors and visitors for such a great experience and for your personal engagement which made blickfang Basel so special and successful! We are already looking forward to next years event happening from the 8th until the 10th of March at the new location Messe Basel! See you there!

 

After three years of blickfang Basel we will take the concept to a higher level and move into a new and bigger location, the Messe Basel. So stay tuned and look out for blickfang Basel 2013, which will present double as much designers as before! See you in March 2013!

 

Review blickfang Basel 2012

 

More than 10.500 visitors explored over 120 designers showcasing the latest trends in interior, fashion and jewellery design. The third blickfang Basel closed its doors only a few weeks ago and we are  happy and thankful for many special moments, which we shared with great exhibitors, partners and the Basel audience. One third of the exhibitors presented themselves in Basel for the very first time. Among them where the labels 2un°, Changemaker, Klotzholz, lost and found, Milch, Stoffbruch only to name a few.

The result of the workshop is an unique and serviceable product developed under the professional guidance of the designers and architects of the Swiss interior label minimöbl. The final product can actually be taken home. Minimöbl is looking forward to your kids and to the development of each idea. Please register if you are interested and send an email to info@minimoebl.ch. Participation costs: Sfr 35.-(including the product).

 

blickfang kids Workshop

 

The kids workshop "Designers of Tomorrow by MINIMÖBL“ offers 6 -12 aged „Designers of Tomorrow“ the chance, to develop their own ideas and visions within a 2 hours designworkshop hosted by professional designers and architects.

This years jury members where Hans Georg Hildebrand, Editor in Chief of the Swiss Interior magazine Ideales Heim, Priska Morger, Creative Director of the HGK Basel, Amelie Znidaric, Curator at the Vitra Design Museum and Saskia Diez, jewellery designer and blickfang Curator of the Year 2012.

 

blickfang Basel design award 2012

 

The blickfang designprize in Gold goes out to the interior label  „atelier peekaboo“ based in Neuchâtel. Thierry Didot and Damien Ummel convinced the jury with their very innovative and surprisingly unorthodox product design concept. The second prize goes out to the swiss label MINIMÖBL from Zurich. They received the prize because of their fresh idea to include children in the designing process. The third prize goes out to the Haute Ecole d´Art et de Design (HEAD) in Geneva.
